White Bone

The knife of love cuts deep
It wounds to white bone
Drains life to the floor
Under loosely wrapped bandages
Tendons are slashed
Not easily dressed
Bleeds and so slowly heals

Yeeesh. Not anymore, thankfully. I fell in love for the last time over a decade ago. Emptied me out. A sad thing, I suppose. Perhaps. Or not. I’ve been considerably less anemic these last couple of years. Yes. It is much better, by far. ♡

  3. Wow! Vivid images and deep emotions in this one!
If love is returned, it is not only survivable…it is THE best thing in the world! 🙂
If love is NOT returned (or is spurned), it can be the end of a person emotionally and sometimes physically. 😦
But, we are wired to love. So I continue to love. 🙂 I love to love! 🙂 I love VDay! ❤ !!!
    HUGS!!! Happy ❤ Whee-k!!! 😀
