Between the Blinds

Staring between the slots of the Venetian blinds
looking beyond the tasseling corn stocks
toward the towering 20000 foot clouds
painting the blue sky background into my memory
cutting audio grooves in my mind of the birds
the frogs and crickets.
the 70 degree morning clears of its mist
and the sun shines.
The wind is still.
I am peering between the blinds.

  1. This makes me smile and sigh! You have a beautiful way with words, DSS!
LOVE this line “cutting audio grooves in my mind of the birds the frogs and crickets”

Thanks for checking in on me! I commented back to your comment!

I’ve been busy, then my internet was down most of yesterday, then I was still waiting the results of my last cancer-check…wanted to have those results before I blogged again.

So, I just now put up a new blog post.

    HUGS!!! 🙂

    • Glad you’re back!

Even looking at the world through the restrictions of slotted blinds, you can still see and remember and enjoy what’s going on around you. Even if you can’t or won’t or if you’re not invited to go out there. 🙂

        True dat!
Sometimes I look out the window before bursting myself onto the world! 😀
Other times, when feeling a little tentative, I peek out and take a moment before entering the world. 🙂
        HUGS!!! 🙂
