When I need love
when I am blind and nothing else will  do
I choose your love
Your sweet sweet love
when love will bind our mind of two
When I feel love
I choose my love
when I’m blind and don’t feel what other lovers do
I choose your love
I choose love, my sweet love, my sweet sweet love of you.

  1. Beautiful, romantic, sweet poem, DSS! SIGH-worthy! Just in time for VD! ❤

Your words are a reminder that love is more than a feeling. It IS a choice. We can choose to give love, and receive love, on good days and tough days…it is a deliberate decision we make every day. 🙂 I appreciate those people who have chosen to love me…the good, bad, and ugly of me…that they see something in me worth loving makes me amazed and appreciative! 🙂

HUGS and Happy ❤ Day to you and your wife! 🙂

  2. Thank you! And Happy V Day to you and yours!! We’ll do something special or different tomorrow evening, how about you, special plans? This will be about the limit of my VD poems this year.

Oh dear! I hope you are not in the flood waters of that dam that is failing in CA. You are getting so much rain there!

    • Thank you Peace! Glad you smiled. We used to give a Valentine Card to everyone in the class when I was a kid, so let this be a Valentine Card to you, too. 🙂 You have been such a faithful reader and contributor to my posts, thank you Jane!

Ah… Thank you so much! I graciously accept! Exchanging Valentine Cards as an elementary school child was filled with fun and excitement as well as nervousness and dread! Though we were to give each classmate a card you know some kids didn’t do it that way. They might skip kids they didn’t like but it was more nerve-racking to see if the boy I liked would write anything special on my card! I think sometimes I looked for hidden messages in the simple childish Valentines of those simple years :-). A belated Happy Valentine’s Day to you. Thank you for sharing such enjoyable posts. peace & smiles
